Review: Upward – Experimental Portfolio & Blog – WordPress Theme

Our client had a specific request for a website with asymmetrical lines. They wanted to make sure the site didn’t look “boxy”. I was delighted when we found the Upwards WordPress Theme. It truly has a unique design aesthetic from many of the other WP themes available, and the client loves the use of angles throughout the site. Great design, great theme!

Review: Ninja Popups

We were recently asked to help a client convert more email subscribers from their website by using an automated opt in pop-up window. Ninja pop-ups provided a great solution at a reasonable price. With a little custom coding, we were able to get it to link directly to Mailchimp, and it provides the end-user with a clean, smooth experience.

Review: BackupBuddy Plugin

As professional website developers, it is imperative to have reliable and scheduled remote backups for our clients’ websites (and our own). We have found the BackupBuddy WordPress plugin to be the most effective and reliable tool for the job. Backups can easily be scheduled, created, and restored in a matter of minutes.

Review: Team Showcase WordPress Plugin

A recent project required us to create a slick “Our Team” page that displayed images (employee headshots) that were filterable by location. The Team Showcase WordPress plugin fit our needs perfectly. The plugin is very flexible and can be used to create a static or dynamic team page. In addition, the developer was responsive and helpful when we submitted a support request. Great plugin, definitely plan on using for future projects!

Review: Duplicate Post WordPress Plugin

On every site we build, we find the need to replicate pages, posts, and other content. That is why Duplicate Post is one of the first plugins we install. This  plugin allows to clone a post or page, or edit it as a new draft. It works great for template pages such as projects, portfolio items, or individual bio pages. Highly recommend — easy 5 stars!

Review: BigWig Theme

We needed a theme that had a portfolio that allowed us to display full-screen images to showcase our websites. BigWig’s portfolio does exactly that. This website — Keybridgeweb.com — was built on the BigWig theme on a matter of days. It required minimum custom coding. Easy to use.

Review: PhotoMosaic Tile Photo Plugin

We needed to find a way to include a slick tile mosaic on the home page of an existing website development client. The client wants to be able to easily change out images and links on their own in the future. The PhotoMosaic plugin worked perfectly for us.

Review: Interactive World Maps Plugin

Some recent projects have required us to show multiple clickable office locations on a map. The clients are continually adding and deleting locations so we need to provide them with a map that could be easily updated by a back-end user with no coding required. The Interactive World Maps Plugin filled this need perfectly.
